Great job Gr. 2 and Gr. 3 students! I was super pleased with your performance at the dress rehearsal and the evening show for parents. I hope you were proud of your effort and that you enjoyed singing for a large audience of friendly faces!

Concert Reminders

February 2nd - Thursday evening performance:

Doors open at 6 pm. Students must be at school by 6:15.

At 6:15, an announcement will be made for choir students to go to the music room and Non-choir students to go to their homeroom. Please have your child wear comfortable indoor shoes and not big winter boots.

The show will begin promptly at 6:30.

Concert Attire

Gr. 2s – nice everyday school clothes

Gr. 3s – Teacher clothes (i.e. dress up to play a teacher).

Choir – bring a scarf if you have one.

PS If you are baking/buying cookies for after the concert, thank you for remembering to send them to school Thursday morning.

We are really looking forward to performing our songs for an audience. Hope you are ready for “The Big Chill”.

The Big Chill Concert

What to wear for the concert?

The Grade 2 classes are asked to wear every day school clothes as they are playing themselves. (Jeans would be a nice alternate to sweat pants as it is a performance).

The Gr. 3 classes are asked to wear teacher clothes:
* boys - tie and dress shirt, or a nice sweater and pants. No sweat pants please. Jeans are acceptable.

*Girls can wear a dress or skirt, or a nice top/sweater and pants. Not Christmas best but dressier than their every day school clothes please.

Jr. Choir - students in choir just need a scarf to wrap around their neck for their performance at the beginning. Then, they will take it off when getting ready for the musical.

The Big Chill

The Big Chill is a mini-musical for Grade 2 and 3 students as well as the Junior Choir. It will be performed on Thursday February 2, 2017 at 6:30p.m.

The musical is about students and teachers discovering that they both could, and would appreciate a snow day; a chance to relax while 7 feet of snow keeps them at home. Students are currently working on a few of these winter songs and enjoying the fun that winter has to offer. Lyrics and audio clips will be in future posts to come.
